Office365 apps for iOS

*Note: For this document we will use OneNote as the example. The instructions are the same for Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  1. Find the Office for iPhone/iPad apps in the App Store by searching for "Microsoft Office" and downloading the desired apps.
  2. After the download completes, launch OneNote.
  3. The first time you launch OneNote, it will ask you to sign in. Click Sign In.
  4. On the next screen:
    Students: Type in your netid@vols.utk.edu and click Next.
    Staff and Faculty: Type in your netid@utk.edu and click Next.
  5. If you have a personal Microsoft account with the same username, you will be prompted to choose between using a Microsoft account or an Work account. Choose Work account.
  6. Students: Enter your netid@vols.utk.edu and your NetID password and select Sign In.
    Staff and Faculty: Enter your netid@utk.edu and your NetID password and select Sign In.
  7. Once you are logged in you will be able to create new documents and view documents in OneDrive for Business.  Logging into one of the Office apps will automatically log you into the Excel and PowerPoint the next time you launch the app.
