I just upgraded to Office 2010. I am now unable to open office attachments in Outlook or OWA (Tmail). What should I do?

If you are having problems opening attachments in Outlook or OWA (Tmail) after upgrading to Office 2010, please try the following options.

  1. Set Internet Explorer as your default browser
  2. Open Word or Excel and turn off your protected mode for Outlook Attachments.
    • Click on File
    • Choose Options
    • Click on Trust Center
    • Choose Trust Center Settings
    • Choose Protected View
    • Uncheck the "Enable Protected View for Outlook Attachments" box.
