What is the eduroam wireless network?

Print Friendly and PDF

eduroam (short for education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.  The University of Tennessee was the first school to adopt eduroam in the US.

eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions.

Before you can use eduroam when traveling, you first must configure your computer for eduroam at UT.

Information about eduroam's server certificate can be found here.

eduroam is available in 55 countries (and growing), including the US.  To see a map of location in the US, visit the eduroam-US site.
